The production and distribution of chemical products
The facility operates an accredited Integrated Management System incorporating ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and FEMAS.
Mixing involves combining two or more substances to achieve a consistent distribution of components. Blending is a specific type of mixing where the focus is on combining ingredients in precise proportions to achieve a consistent and equal product. Packing refers to the process of placing the final product into containers suitable for storage, transportation and sale.

Each of these processes are crucial in ensuring that chemical products are manufactured efficiently, safely and meet required quality standards.
At ICL we have the capability to blend powders or liquids, corrosive materials and dust explosible powders, in either bulk or bag operations.
- Powder/ powder blending – packed into small bags (20 to 25kg) or bulk bags (up to 1000kg)
- Powder/ liquid blending – loaded into bulk tanker, or packed into containers from 10lt up to 1000lt
- Liquid/ liquid blending – loaded into bulk tanker, or packed into containers from 10lt up to 1000lt
- Liquid packing – decanting from bulk tanker into drums or IBCs, or from IBCs into containers from 10lt to 200lt

Whether you need a simple powder dissolved in water or a custom multi-component blend, we have the expertise and equipment to meet your needs. Our capabilities include handling a wide range of hazardous materials, such as corrosive, flammable, and toxic substances.
We operate vessels from 2,000 to 45,000 litres, constructed mainly of stainless steel or glass-lined materials, equipped with heating and cooling options. This allows us to manage both small-scale and bulk production.
Packaging Operations

We can customise packaging, labelling, and more to fit your specifications. Powders can be packed into small bags (20 or 25 kg) or bulk bags up to 1,000 kg. Liquids can be loaded into bulk tankers or packed into containers ranging from 10 to 1,000 litres. For smaller containers, we collaborate with trusted partners. Additionally, if needed, we can convert liquid blends to powder through spray-drying.
All the mixing, blending and packing operations are supported by our in-house laboratory. Testing can be carried out at all stages including raw materials, in-process, and final product with certification provided if needed. Facilities available include ICP for elemental analysis, plus a wide range of other testing for characteristics such as assay, moisture, density, conductivity, viscosity, turbidity and particle size. Additional testing for specific materials or applications can be arranged if required.
Manufacturing processes and services at this site include not only mixing, blending and packing but Spray Drying (link to page), Caustic Soda storage & dilution, Sulphuric Acid storage & dilution and bulk chemical storage for many of our core products, with dedicated warehousing for dry goods.
